First Days in France–A Paris!

We “put on the Ritz” for the two nights of our trip (a lovely and memorable 40th birthday present from Meghan’s parents). It was fancy and fantastic. (Also a wee-bit sexist, but Meghan wrote a semi-strongly worded note to the manager.

After dinner on our first night, we went down to the Eiffel Tower. It was so quiet. Nobody around. And it was stunning. We had a long walk home and enjoyed the beautiful city and how lucky we were to be there.

We left chez Hemingway, and crossed the river to Le Marais. Traded our castle room, for a one-bedroom studio. It was cozy and wonderful, and we classed it up a bit with a caviar and champagne picnic on the bed for dinner.
